My Profile

My name is Anne Roberts and I am based in Margaret River, in the South West. I would be delighted to work with you to create a special ceremony to celebrate your life's special event. My role as a celebrant is to ensure that you get exactly what you want, especially if you are not quite sure what that might be. I can guide you to design a personalized and memorable ceremony to create a beautiful day.
My background has been working as a registered nurse in the health industry and also as a lecturer and trainer in human services. During my past occupations I worked with the general public in a huge variety of situations both good and sometimes challenging, and I have developed very effective communication skills, and empathy and understanding of individual needs.
To conduct a marriage ceremony requires detailed planning, communication and essential interpersonal skills. It is also necessary to be empathetic and respectful of the importance of the ceremony to the clients, their family and friends, and also their wider community. I want everyone who experiences the ceremony to leave it with a smile on their face, and feeling uplifted and full of happiness.
During my training and lecturing work, I have had a great deal of experience speaking publicly at lectures and seminars, and enjoy having that interaction with family, friends and community members at the ceremonies I have had the honour to conduct.
I later chose to work as a celebrant as it was a vocation I always felt I had an affinity for, even a passion for, and in which I could use my "people skills" that I have gained in my past working experiences. I have found it to be incredibly rewarding as I get to meet such a variety of interesting and lovely people who allow me to be a part of their celebration of love, joy and happiness in their life's great event.
I feel that I have very strong personal and professional integrity and standards, and I conduct all my interactions with clients with the utmost privacy and confidentiality. I adhere to the Attorney-General's Code of Practice Standards for Marriage Celebrants, and conduct all marriage ceremonies within the Marriage Act of 1961, and the Marriage Regulations of 1963.
I would be honoured to have the opportunity to work with you to design your ceremony for your life's event and celebration!
